Environmental Impact Assesment

We are particularly sensitive to the environment and the impact that any organisation can have in this area. It is a prime directive from the board that we ensure we have a thorough understanding of both local and international regulations on environmental impact assessment.

To support this key objective we ensure that our pallet designs comply with environmental regulations within national and international boundaries.

We take our position as a leading manufacturer very seriously and recognise the importance of only looking for wood from well managed forests as this sustains an environmentally friendly and uniquely renewable resource. Extensive studies through such organisations as the Forestry Commission ( www.forestry.gov.uk ) have proved without doubt that:

  • the effect of global warming is reduced as trees and wood products become carbon sinks.
  • energy use for heating is reduced because of the thermal efficiency of wood.
  • wood in eminently recyclable.
  • wood's end usage can be bio-fuel.
  • UK draws is wood from Europe, where well-managed forests are typical and where forest mass is increasing annually by an area the size of Cyprus.
